Above & Below Taiwan Best Trip

We are proud to say that our photos and videos are now online. The popularity contest will not be won by us because it isn't a fair contest, but, we don't mind. We are pleased to

share our videos with the world, so please have a look. Also, October is an important month. This is when you will be requested to vote for us seriously, since it is for the championship of Taiwan Best Trip. This is what we want to win.

The rules of the contest are to travel Taiwan in 4 days and show the world the best itinerary. Our goal was to create an itinerary for the traveler who wants to experience everything that is about Taiwan. We suggest you follow our trip to allow for exciting things to do and everything that is Taiwanese.

First of all, our 4 days had beach life, an offshore island, two cities and an aboriginal village. That is Taiwan for a short trip. If your time is limited and you wish to come to Taiwan. Visiting the places we went to will make you feel like you've done more than just four days. It is very feasible because the routes we chose have convenient transportation. If you have more than a week, we suggest you also see the East Coast for mountain and sea beauty.

Taiwan is rich in culture. Right now is ghost month, and everywhere in the country, the people are giving offerings to the spirits of the underworlds. They get one month of freedom to wander around the living world, so the people must give food and burn fake money to appease the ghosts. That is just one of many festivals during the year in Taiwan.

We made sure we did it all, and in a feasible way by explaining the transport options and find cheap accommodation. These are all the things we saw or did; swim, 4x4, scooter rental, bicycle, night market, day market, meet friends, play volleyball, party, hike, temples, lakes, ocean, rivers, waterfall, aboriginal village, hot springs, 3 sunsets, one sunrise, drink tea, watch street performers, a movie being filmed, stay at a hostel, guesthouse and camp plus eat delicious Taiwanese Cuisine, and take magnificant photos.

It is a great pleasure for me to share with you our blog. Please, let me tell you about ourselves. My name is Nigel Anderson. I am 30 years old, from Canada. I am currently traveling Japan with my buddy, also from Canada, named Dennis Wong. He is so young, 29!

We worked at Niseko Ski Resort in Hokkaido Japan as ski and snowboard instructors this winter '08/09. This spring of '09 we also cycled nine different islands in the Okinawa Island Chain in southern Japan. Other activities included camping, snorkeling, scuba diving, and seeing festivals.

Now, for this summer, we will start our tour in Osaka, Japan. Renting scooters, and carrying a tent, we will travel cheap and far across Japan! You can follow our blogs and photos as we update them along the way. Transportation and accomodation are very expensive in Japan. By traveling with a scooter and tent, you can save a lot of money, and have the freedom to go wherever you want.

In August, we will come to Taiwan to do a 4 day trip in the Taiwan Best Trip Contest. Our theme is Above and Below, meaning we will explore the ocean and mountains in Taiwan, by visiting the northern and southern sections of Taiwan while featuring the Taiwanese culture, too.
